Revolutionary tubular front subframe for the Mazda MX-5 NC. Made from durable chromoly tubes, it significantly improves vehicle stiffness and reduces weight.
Main Benefits:
- Roll Center Correction: Offers additional mounting points for both lower and upper control arms, with positions 20mm higher. This adjustment helps correct the roll center, crucial for lowered vehicles, improving handling and reducing understeer.
- Weight Reduction: Lighter by 30% than the original, this reduction in front-end weight directly translates to improved handling, making your driving experience more responsive and engaging.
- Improved chassis rigidity: Made from chromoly steel, this subframe’s spatial construction with numerous diagonal braces vastly increases stiffness, offering unmatched rigiditi compared to stock subframes.
Key Features:
- Chromoly Steel Construction: Utilizes chromoly steel tubes, resulted in a product that is significantly stronger and more resilient during high-stress use.
- Complete Compatibility with Stock Attachments: Maintains all original subframe mounting points for engine mounts, plastic covers, radiator, and more, ensuring a seamless integration with the vehicle’s original components.
- Improved Engine Access: Creates more under-hood space, easing maintenance, wire routing, and auxiliary installations.
- Engine Swap Ready: Facilitates fitting larger engines, like a V8, by providing necessary space and positioning.
In the Package You Get:
- Tubular Subframe: A high-strength, lightweight subframe designed for the Mazda MX-5 NC.
- Set of Bolts and Nuts: All necessary hardware for a secure installation.
To fully optimize roll center adjustment for enhanced handling, it’s essential to pair our Tubular Subframe with Cybul spherical bearing conversion for the front lower control arm rear bushing, Cybul lowered steering tie rods, and Cybul adjustable front upper control arms.
To achieve the roll center correction, the spherical bearing conversion kit is necessary to raise the mounting point of the rear lower control arm, which adjusts the geometry. Additionally, our adjustable front upper control arms are required because they feature smaller diameter polyurethane bushings, allowing them to fit into the tight upper mounting area where stock arms won’t work.
After adjusting the roll center, it’s crucial to correct bump steer. For this, our lowered steering tie rods are essential, as they reposition the steering tie rod ends downward to ensure proper steering geometry and eliminate bump steer, resulting in better handling and control during suspension movement.
