When designing this strut bar, our goal was to maximize chassis rigidity, which required using 25mm tubing to provide the necessary strength. Lighter, oval-shaped aluminum tubes wouldn’t deliver the same stiffness. Additionally, there needs to be sufficient clearance between the engine and the bar to avoid contact. As a result, when the hood is closed, the sound insulation may press against the bar, but this has no impact on performance or safety, as there is ample space between the bar and the hood’s sheet metal.
